In The Spotlight

Xavier Ralph – “She’s Always There”

This young British up-and-coming singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Sussex, was born destined for a career in music. Based in Hastings, he wrote his first song aged 10 and has since developed his mind-boggling talents. He’s honed his sound as a busker and playing vibrant local venues. In 2019 he signed with independent label Uprise Records and debuted with a self-titled album.

Going from radiating a genuine, heartfelt warmth to a lively pop jam, all in the same song, is no easy feat, but his new single makes it sound effortless. Starting with rich electric guitar strums and his soulful vocals, gives it an enticing and breezy feel, while the spirited pop chorus, flavored with a funkalicious vibe, makes it a refreshing and infectious earworm brimming with auditory pizzazz.
