In The Spotlight

August Wahh – “Know What I Want”

Born in General Santos City, this Neo-Soul singer, songwriter and DJ has been a force on the Philippine music scene since 2007, when she moved to Manila to pursue her passion. She used to be the vocalist of soul band Chocolate Grass. As a solo artist, she’s collaborated with No Rome, shared the stage with Fred Wesley, opened for Erykah Badu and released her debut “Sahara” in 2019.

Soaked in sultry soul and colored in some jazzy hues, her new single is a scrumptious smooth groove. With a magical orchestration of a melodious rhythm, enchanting synths and her bewitching, honey-sweet R&B vocals, she conjures up a spellbinding soundscape. And with the addition of just the right amount of auditory attitude, this is an euphonic and ear-stroking jewel you know you want.
