In The Spotlight

Margo Zelle – “Go”

Honing her one-of-a-kind sound combining soul, R&B and pop, this singer and songwriter performed at Austin’s most renowned venues, such as Stubb’s and The Belmont. Initially the lead singer of the band The Fifth Flight, she’s been pursuing a solo career since 2018. Influenced by her love of jazz, she incorporates her vocal and piano training into her original music and debuted with “Sahara” in 2019.

Showing what happens when pure soul gets soaked in sweet, ear-stroking jazz, her new single shines on every level. While starting the song with a simple acoustic guitar and her astonishing jazzy vocal prowess give it a smooth, honeyed sound, the mellow rhythm adds a rich R&B layer to the gentle sonic flow of this sumptuous stunner and pours soulful vitality onto the velvety tones.
