In The Spotlight

Ntjam Rosie – “Sailing Out”

Born in Cameroon, this stunning Dutch vocalist and musician spent the first nine years of her life hearing the beat of the drums, singing in church and falling in love with music. After moving to The Netherlands she took singing lessons and studied at Codarts School For The Arts in Rotterdam. With her own blend of jazz, soul, pop and afro grooves, she debuted with her 2008 album “Atouba”.

Floating on a sea of sultry soundwaves, the multitude of various influences on her new single puts a gentle breeze in her sails. It’s smooth and jazzy, but also groovy and soulful, while still including her signature African vibes. Shimmering in pure auditory beauty, it’s the multi-layered melody and her enchanting, Sadé-reminiscent vocals that discover a tranquil ocean of musical magic to sail out on.
