In The Spotlight

YOHIO – “Daydreams”

This flamboyant Swedish singer, songwriter and musician was born into a professionally musical family. Aged 6 he started playing piano and composing songs, adding guitar aged 11. In 2009, at only 14, he joined the band Seremedy. Fascinated with Japanese pop-culture since he was 9, he speaks fluent Japanese and is mostly active in Japan. He debuted his opulent solo sound with “Our Story” in 2012.

Decked out in sumptuous, colorful sonic vibes, his new single is an exuberant splash of joyous pop. Taken from his forthcoming album “A Pretty Picture In A Most Disturbing Way”, expected on October 9th, the Mika-esque, cotton-candied melody moves from jubilant piano to the catchy chorus joined by lavish horns. And with his gleeful vocals dancing over the tune, this is a bustling pop extravaganza.
