In The Spotlight

Farida – “Do About It”

Born in Norway with Algerian roots, this stunning singer and songwriter grew up immersed in music. Her parents introduced her to artists like Ray Charles, Whitney Houston and The Temptations, which she supplemented with Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake and Aaliyah. Making music since 2016 and supported by magazines such as Billboard and The Fader, she released her first EP “Solar Flare” in 2020.

Blending indie-pop with R&B flavors and occasionally dipping them in some vintage hues, her new single is expertly layered and flawlessly produced. The melodic atmosphere from the addictive beat and guitar strums are enticing, but it’s her silky-smooth vocals stroking every note which make this song extraordinary. Fresh, catchy and alluring, this jam is well-crafted musical magic.
