In The Spotlight

Lorrèn – “Tell Me”

Based in Amsterdam, this silky smooth Dutch singer and songwriter started singing and scatting with her jazz violinist dad aged only 3. She took to music professionally aged 11 and set off on an ascending career path. Blending soul, pop and jazz, her fusion sound has been likened to famed artists like Melody Gardot, Amy Winehouse and Ella Fitzgerald. She debuted with “The Game Of Love” in 2015.

Delightfully refreshing, deliciously soulful, her new single is the epicenter of where genres and era’s effortlessly intertwine. Taken from her upcoming EP “Pieces”, which is expected in July, the slow, satiny start has the feeling of 60s soul, but soon the enchantment makes way for a slick, funky rhythm and an 80s pop tinge. Singing about doubt in relationships, this lavish jam emits cheerful positivity.
