In The Spotlight

Sianon – “Is There Ever Any Going Back For Us”

Raised in the West-Midlands, this singer and songwriter of Irish descent taught herself to play piano and guitar aged 13 and took to busking on the streets of Dudley. After a move to Brighton to attend University, she went on to support Gabrielle Aplin and perform at festivals like Isle Of Wight. Inspired by Taylor Swift, she switched from folk to pop and released her debut “Overthinking” in 2020.

Taken from her upcoming EP “Now That It’s Over”, on which she lyrically narrates various stages of a breakup in her songs, her new single combines a sweet pop melody with heartfelt emotions. From the mellow bass plucks to the sparkle of the sanguine chorus, she conveys her story both in word and sound. Working toward a crescendo of melodic passion, this jam is filled with rich pop sentiment.
