In The Spotlight

Estella Dawn – “Winners”

Born and raised in New Zealand and now based in the US, this singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has been singing most of her life. She started classical piano lessons aged 9, followed by guitar at 13. Aged 15 she reached the semi-finals of New Zealand’s Got Talent. Inspired by artists such as Sam Cooke and Etta James, as well as Halsey and Dermot Kennedy, she debuted with “Dancing Girls” in 2017.

Finding a balance between becoming selfish in order to achieve success and being aware of your surroundings and helping others, her new single combines the lyrical challenges with a rich, invigorating melody. Starting slow with a mellow rhythm and mild bass, the track ascends with a blues-dipped attitude and her powerhouse vocal grit, making this impassioned groove sound like a winner.
