Maya Killtron – “Satin Sheets”

This uber-talented Canadian songstress is not just a singer and songwriter, but she’s also made her mark as an accomplished DJ and violinist. Influenced by the likes of Prince and Teena Marie, her songs are draped in vintage flair, spanning a diverse mix of soul, funk, disco, pop and R&B across the decades. She’s gearing up to release her first full-length album “Never Dance Alone” later in 2018.

On her latest single she time-travels back to the notorious 90s with a high-energy R&B belter. On a bed of sizzling synths, a bouncy beat and a funky bass, her soulful, satiny vocals radiate bright gleaming sunbeams, despite singing about an affair with a man who’s already involved. With stirring old-school R&B vibes sparking a myriad of musical memories, it’s a slick summertime jam.
