In The Spotlight

Oscar Lang – “Are You Happy?”

Born into music to a dad who used to be the drummer of The Housemartins and a singing mom, this London-based singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist began writing music aged 11, but took it seriously at 16. Playing piano, drums, bass and guitar, he writes all music and lyrics and self-produces his songs as well as writing for others. He debuted with his EP “Teenage Hurt” in 2018.

Written for a friend who was going through a rough time, his new single is a retro-touched blend of bubblegum pop and joyous indie synths. Taken from his upcoming debut full-length album “Chew The Scenery”, expected on July 16, it’s the sun-soaked melody of singing electronic guitars, cheery rhythm and vintage-styled vocals coming together in a breezy, yet buzzing jam that will make you very happy.
