In The Spotlight

Tilde – “I Think I Made You Up In My Head”

Hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden, this singer, songwriter and pianist was born with music in her heart. She started playing piano aged 5 and wrote her first song aged 9. A serious illness in her late teens temporarily halted her career, but she’s back better than ever. Inspired by legends such as Nina Simone, Carole King and Solomon Burke, her music is a synthesis of soul, rock, folk and pop.

The first taster of her debut album, which is to be released in the Autumn, is fanciful retro-tinged pop. The complex instrumentation, from the haunting bass plucks to the intricate percussion, is inspired and mesmerizing. Her gorgeous, organic vocals with a soulful edge sound sensitive and honest. When the two meet, it creates an one-of-a-kind auditory adventure of pure musical allure.
