In The Spotlight

Aubren Elaine – “No Good For You”

Classically trained on piano as a child, this Californian singer and songwriter traded in a skateboard for a guitar aged 13 and taught herself how to play. She’s earned a BA in music production from California Lutheran University and performs at renowned Los Angeles venues such as the Hotel CafĂ© and House Of Blues. Her voice has also been featured on several singles by Patrick Reza and No Suits.

Shrouded in images of smoky, dimly-lit jazz bars from yesteryear, her debut single embraces those vintage shades and nurtures them. The soothing, easygoing vibe from the smooth bass, mild rhythm, mellow organ and 40s-styled trumpet sets the scene for her silky, seductive vocals to caress the lustrous melodic ambiance. Fusing old-school jazz and polished pop, this tune is good for all!
