In The Spotlight

Aubren Elaine – “No Good For You”

Classically trained on piano as a child, this Californian singer and songwriter traded in a skateboard for a guitar aged 13 and taught herself how to play. She’s earned a BA in music production from California Lutheran University and performs at renowned Los Angeles venues such as the Hotel Café and House Of Blues. Her voice has also been featured on several singles by Patrick Reza and No Suits.

Shrouded in images of smoky, dimly-lit jazz bars from yesteryear, her debut single embraces those vintage shades and nurtures them. The soothing, easygoing vibe from the smooth bass, mild rhythm, mellow organ and 40s-styled trumpet sets the scene for her silky, seductive vocals to caress the lustrous melodic ambiance. Fusing old-school jazz and polished pop, this tune is good for all!
