Kentucky-born, this inspirational artist discovered her singing voice at the age of 5, when she and her sisters had a gospel group. Wanting to cast her musical net further, she became the first graduate of the music program at Tennessee State University. Even though she survived cancer surgery in 2014, she continues to perform her empowering music, spanning gospel, pop, R&B and soul.
Taken from her debut album “Desire”, her new single is a velvety soul ballad in which 90s R&B meets classic soul. The easygoing percussion, smooth synths and mild strings shape a shimmering soundscape, perfect for when the sun goes down. With an infectious hook and her satiny, soul-steeped vocal artistry gently stroking your eardrums, this delightful tune is a slow-dance you never want to let go of.
