In The Spotlight

HANNIE – “Low Key”

This fun British duo is fast finding their foothold on the passionate pop scene. Hailing from East-London, multi-instrumentalists Hanna Koppenburg and Annie Wagstaff met while studying at The Academy Of Contemporary Music and started uploading self-filmed cover songs. With a sound reminiscent of HAIM and Fickle Friends, they dropped their debut single “Cosmic Bound” early this year.

Enlisting the talents of Carys Selvey, their latest single explores the emotional rollercoaster that is the beginning of a relationship, with the glistening glitter of a catchy melodic pop groove. Driven by an upbeat, funky rhythm, the contemporary tune gets an infatuating retro gloss, which shines brightly by the frisky, cheerful vocals and makes this euphoric pop jam sound anything but low key.
